Louis Vuitton Flagship Store Opening Party
Louis Vuitton
2008
This was the first temporary commercial use of the waterfront space on the West Kowloon Peninsula (the eventual site of the West Kowloon Cultural District), creating an immense amount of interest, curiosity and awareness through press coverage.
As the first of its kind on the site, the government and stakeholder engagement involved in securing the site for use was significant and detailed, requiring the approval and co-operation of a significant number of government departments.
A 60m x 30m x 16m weather-resistant structure offering 1,800 square metres of floor space housing a fully functioning bar, performance stage, accompanying audio, lighting, set and special effects capabilities was specially designed and created.
